New programming period EEA and Norway Grants 2014 - 2021 is coming!

New agreement on the EEA and Norway Grants for the programming period 2014 – 2021 has been signed on 3 May 2016 in Brussels a. The official report can be found <<<HERE>>>.
The agreement is a fundamental precondition for further continuation of providing funds to the 15 beneficiary countries. “In the following years, the EEA and Norway Grants will be used primarily to support innovation and growth in Europe through cooperation between Norway and beneficiary countries," said Minister of EEA and EU Affairs Elisabeth Aspaker.
In the programming period 2014 – 2021, a total of € 2.8 billion will be distributed among individual beneficiary countries. Slovakia will be supported by € 113.1 million to implement further projects.
Under this agreement, beneficiary countries (including Slovakia) can begin preparation of international agreements called Memoranda of Understanding, which provide basic framework of the EEA and Norway grants for the new funding period also in Slovakia.
